W – Whiskey

Wets  Many applications!

1.  Wet of tea or coffee – a mug of either fluid, as in: “I don’t care what it is – just as long as it’s hot and wet.”  

2.  The Royal Marines refer to any drink as a wet i.e. “get the wets in” or “it’s my turn next to make the wets.”

3.  Wet behind the ears – a complete novice.

4.  Wet your whistle – have an alcoholic drink.

5.  Wet weather routine – the alternative arrangements for an evolution that is normally conducted outdoors.
