Brain Tumour Research

I was fortunate to be invited, along with my late mums sister, Sue, to the brain tumour research facility at Portsmouth Uni on Fri 23rd May 2014. Prof Geoff Pilkington, who runs the program, gave a great tour and tried his best not to baffle us with science. The Prof is very passionate about finding a cure for the cancer that kills more children and people under 40 than any other cancer. 16,000 people are diagnosed with brain tumours every year and 20% of all cancers spread to the brain.
Unfortunately, brain tumour research receives less than 1% of national cancer research spending which is why it is one of my four charities I hope to raise money for. They are great team of professionals who desperately need more money so please, look them up and put your hands in your pocket.

Thanks

Mark
